We are a charitable, non-profit organization committed to helping our community by providing a safe place to be active, make friends, and belong - and most importantly, we are FOR ALL. As part of our mission to champion equity, we provide financial aid to individuals and families who need it to be able to join our programs and be members of the Kaimuki YMCA. Your donations to the Annual Campaign go to this very fund that provides financial assistance to those who need it most. (Learn more about Financial Aid) It's rewarding work and as members of our community, we'd like to share with you some heartfelt thank you notes we've received over the years from our Financial Aid recipients.

is behind the parking lot! Our Club Mid kids are working on a small garden at the back of the basketball court? Hoping to make it fruitful with Hawaiian goodies! They are led by Kai Uyehara. "I personally love plants and thought it would be good for the kids to experience the same feeling I have when I work with plants and just disconnecting for a bit. I don't guarantee everyone is gonna enjoy it but I share that whenever I work or do anything in nature that there is a visceral feeling I feel that is very therapeutic and I hope everyone can experience it." Youth and Government has also impacted my life by making new connections with people not only in Hawaii but people around the United States and other countries this has really mad my life a whole lot better because I met so many wonderful people who really care about the program.
I actually had the opportunity to attend the model legislature in Arizona. It was really emotional because I got to see everyone who I met and more. The program that i thank for all of this is C.O.N.A or Conference on National Affairs. That's where I met all these amazing people. So I'm really exited to go back to C.O.N.A this coming summer and my final year in Youth and Government. This all wouldn't be possible without my lead advisor, Jay. He brought me to this Y and every teen program that was offered. I encourage everybody to join because this program has dramatically changed my life. I come from personal experience.
