Believe us, we know Jazzercise class is fun. Why else would we be packed on a rainy Monday morning like this one?
But the thing is, fun doesn't always mean safe - nor does it mean we're actually working on the muscle groups we should be working on.
Not to worry! Caroline, our in-house Jazzercise instructor gives us three tips on how we can make our moves safer and more challenging.
1. How to do the Knee pivot
Did you know that the best way to move your knees is actually to move from the hips?
2. How to actually work on our core
Sometimes we think we're working on our abs, but we're actually really not. And it's more common than you think.
Caroline shows us how to focus and isolate our core instead of bouncing on our knees or jutting out our booty!
3. How to prevent hyper-extension at the elbows
One thing we don't want to see at Jazzercise class? Locking joints.
Watch the video to see what that looks like and how not to do it.
And that's it Jazzy ladies and gents!
Just a few tips to make sure you're being safe while you're rocking it out in Jazzercise class.
Want to know more? Tell us what moves you'd like to learn better and we'll do our best to give you the tips you need.
Until then, see you at Jazzercise class! (Class schedules)
